Job Description: 

The purpose of the position is to complete financial and budget analyses for assigned departments. This is accomplished by coordinating activities; reviewing and evaluating policies; researching information; and preparing budget and financial documents. Other duties include researching information and recommending policies and procedures, reconciling accounts, analyzing and preparing data for presentations and planning, preparing journal entries, and assisting with the performance management process for the department. •Works with department budgets by analyzing data; generating documents; preparing budget submissions; preparing journals and ledgers; analyzing and reconciling expenditures and revenues; preparing and distributing financial statements, revenue and expenditure reports; reviewing financial data; coordinating activities with departments; and recommending expenditures. •Compiles reports by researching and gathering data; reviewing financial information and budgets; creating and developing spreadsheets and databases; and analyzing information. •Recommends departmental changes by reviewing and evaluating department data, policies and procedures, and management techniques; identifying areas for improvement; and implementing changes. •Works with grants by assisting with reporting requirements; reconciling revenues and expenditures; and developing and submitting reports. •Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience as an accountant •Two years of experience in governmental financial analysis, reporting or accounting
