Columbus Water Works (CWW) is seeking a dedicated, responsive, and experienced individual for its next Senior Vice President for Financial Services. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader and manager as well as be someone with an understanding of the diverse needs of the Columbus community.

The ideal candidate should possess a BS/BA in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration. A MS/MA in Finance or Business Administration is preferred. 10 years of leadership experience of which 2 is in a lead capacity required. CPA desirable but not required. See for more qualifications.

The Senior Vice President of Financial Services serves as the Chief Financial Officer for CWW and reports to the President as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Columbus is Georgia’s first consolidated government. The City of Columbus merged with Muscogee County in 1971, creating a streamlined system that provides a very high level of citizen services at a very low per capita cost.

The City of Columbus operates under a Council-Manager form of government. There is a Mayor and ten Council Members who serve staggered terms. The Mayor is elected at-large and council represents single member districts. CWW is an executive branch of the City of Columbus and receives oversight from a separate board, The Board of Water Commissioners of Columbus, Georgia.

The starting salary will be market competitive, DOQ with an excellent fringe benefit package.
