Job Description: 

The Purchasing Manager has the primary responsibility for providing a wide variety of supervision and management duties associated with procurement on behalf of the Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS). Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) Overseeing and managing the purchasing of all supplies, materials, services, and equipment, (2) administering a centralized purchasing operation, (3) ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local procurement related laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, (4) managing a dynamic and fast-paced department, and (5) performing other related duties and responsibilities consistent with the scope and nature of the position.
