The Town of Prosper is seeking an experienced and committed leader to join our team as Finance Director!

The Town of Prosper is a fast-growing suburb with small town charm, located 30 miles north of Dallas.  Prosper sits on 27 square miles and is home to more than 25,000 people.  A home-rule municipality, governed by a council-manager form of government, the town has full-time fire and police departments, including its own dispatch service. As the Town grows to its projected build-out population of 70,000 residents, Prosper’s vision is to remain a “Place Where Everyone Matters.”

This position will serve as the Town's Finance officer directing the accounting, budget, financial planning, revenue collections, accounts payable/payroll, treasury, purchasing, debt management, Municipal Court, and utility billing functions. Responsible for the management of a $75-$90 million investment portfolio.


  • Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
  • Ten years of increasingly responsible experience in financial administration or accounting, including five years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
  • Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. CPA, CGFO, and/or MBA or MPA degree preferred.
