The Finance Director position is an outstanding opportunity for a person skilled in financial management, governmental accounting, senior local government management, and information technology (IT) functions. This full-time position has the following desired minimum qualifications:

Education and Experience:

(A) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a closely related field. Master’s Degree in one of the above listed fields is preferred.

(B) Seven (7) years of experience managing and directing the financial services of a municipality or other type of governmental entity. Prior experience in managing information technology is preferred.

(C) Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role.

(D) CPA and CPFO designations preferred.

(E) Any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.
