The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for all financial matters for North Bay Village. This position performs a variety of complex supervisory, professional, administrative and technical finance, accounting and budgetary functions while providing oversight of the fiscal records of the North Bay Village. The CFO will plan, direct and coordinate all activities relating to finance, which includes accounting, financial reporting and budgeting, capital projects, audits, management of debt, payroll, home rule sales tax collection oversight and debt management. Including coordinating the provision of all necessary information and documents required for the execution of loan agreements and issuance of bonds; compliance monitoring for all grants; implementation of special assessment districts to pay for certain capital improvements; and recording of fixed assets to comply with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).This is the highest level of financial position in the organization and directs a staff of supervisory, professional and support personnel. This position serves as a member of the Management Team carrying out Commission’s goals and directives, developing internal policy and guiding interdepartmental initiatives. The Chief Financial Officer will have minimal to no supervision, however, reports to the Village Manager.
