Why did you choose this?

I work for St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office as the controller.

What are your future career goals?

My future career goals include continuing to work in government finance/accounting. I look forward to a career in public service and continuing to serve local government and it’s constituents with the skills learned through continuing my education.

Which GFOA scholarship did you receive this year, and how will GFOA’s scholarship help you achieve these goals?

I received the Goldberg-Miller Scholarship, which will allow me to continue graduate school without the financial pressure that often accompanies "going back to school."
