Q & A with Frank

Where and what are you currently studying, and why did you choose this?

Accounting. I chose this because I believe a background in accounting will bolster my skill set as a budget director. A knowledge of the balance sheet and financials of my government are important for setting goals and creating synchronicity between the budget and the Town’s financials.

What government are you working in or hope to work at in the future?

Town of Fairfield

What are your future career goals?

To be the chief fiscal officer of a town, city, or county.

How will GFOA’s scholarship help you achieve those goals?

This GFOA scholarship will allow me to continue to pursue my course of study and allow me to take more coursework in areas relating to data management and discounted cash flow analysis. I also plan on taking advantage of the GFOA classes included with this scholarship, mentoring opportunities at the GFOA, and other networking opportunities that the Association has to offer.
