On January 5, the Department of Treasury released more information on the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERA) established under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. This includes the grantee payment information form, instructions for submitting payment information, a list of eligible local governments (population over 200,000), and a copy of the award terms that grantees must submit to receive the funds.
Eligible grantees must submit the required information by January 12 to receive funds.

GFOA anticipates additional information on the implementation of several components of the recent bill including for Education support, Vaccine infrastructure/distribution grants, and Entertainment Venue support in the coming days.
