Job Description

The District of Columbia Retirement Board (“DCRB”) is seeking an Accountant to process and reconcile financial, investment, and budgetary accounting transactions for the Agency. The individual will gather, prepare, review, and record financial transactions in DCRB’s financial system.

DCRB is responsible for the investment of funds and administration of retirement benefits for approximately 15,000 retirees and 10,000 members of the District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Plan and the District of Columbia Police Officers and Firefighters’ Retirement Plan (collectively “Plan members”).

The annualized full-time salary range for this position is $62,563 to $ 96,997 (DCRB Grade 6). For more information, see the position summary attached below.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years accounting experience, preferably in a government setting.
