TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying, along with the specific licenses/certifications as outlined below:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public or Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree in a related field is highly desired and can substitute for one year of experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive professional executive level experience preferably in the operation of a large, complex public utility focusing on financial analysis, enterprise accounting, budgeting and financial reporting, treasury and investment management of public funds, auditing, and information management systems.
- Minimum of seven (7) of those years in a management/ supervisory capacity.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATION DESIRABLE LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
CA Class C Driver's License - required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - desired
