Budget Analyst
This professional classification provides analytical and expert advice and consultation to executive management and divisions regarding specialized work processes or initiatives, financial analysis, business planning and goals. An employee in this classification advises the Division Director on all financial and business matters and functions as controller and auditor within the Division. This position manages key projects and processes for programs to maintain and improve business operations. The Management Analyst is a leadership role and uses quality principles to improve the Department's business practices. This position evaluates and makes recommendations regarding contract management, asset and budget management, and developing and implementing systems. In addition, the position coordinates the implementation and ongoing evaluation of programs and strategic and long-range planning activities. This classification also includes a role that serves as the Department's Records Officer relating to public disclosure. That role is responsible for planning and leading the department records management program and providing technical expertise on agency-wide electronic and non-electronic records management issues.
