Administrative and accounting work under the general direction of the Finance Director. Activities associated with the job include preparing timely, accurate and thorough financial, compliance and program operation reports. Additional activities include assisting with fiscal compliance activities and audits, monitoring the fiscal condition of assigned programs, and reporting significant variances in fiscal and/or operational performance, and reporting any possible misclassifications. Also assist with accounts payable, receivable and payroll activities and assist with the annual budgeting process and annual audit preparation. Job related duties require strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills, thorough knowledge of the agency’s administrative and accounting processes and procedures, thorough knowledge of acceptable accounting practices including GAAP and GASB guidelines, considerable attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential employee and financial information. Job related duties are also subject to internal, independent, state and federal audits.
