City Administrator
City Administrator – City of Shrewsbury, Missouri
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000, Commensurate with Experience

The City of Shrewsbury is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary leader to serve as City Administrator. This position, reporting directly to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, is responsible for overseeing the operations of all City departments and implementing policies to ensure effective and efficient municipal governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Leading all City departments and providing strategic direction and oversight.
- Managing the City’s budget process and financial planning in partnership with the Director of Finance.
- Overseeing public communication, community engagement, and public relations.
- Serving as Floodplain Administrator and managing grants, contracts, and zoning policy.
- Acting as liaison to the Board of Adjustment and Plan Commission.
- Administering technology systems including the website, phones, and email infrastructure.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, and at least five (5) years of experience as a City Administrator, City Manager, or Assistant City Administrator/Manager.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of experience in a similar leadership role.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and financial management skills, as well as a deep understanding of municipal operations and governance.
