Director of Finance and Administration
The Capital Region Airport Authority is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration. The Director is a critical role responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions at Capital Region International Airport (LAN) and Mason Jewett Field (TEW). Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director ensures the financial health and compliance of the Airport Authority through strategic planning, budgeting, and management of fiscal programs, including federal, state, and local funding. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee Accounting and Human Resources
- Manage the sale and issuance of bonds
- Facilitate the annual budget process
- Monitor financial reporting
- Manage federal and state grants
- Supervise audits
- Develop methodologies for airline rate setting
Additionally, the role involves direct management of leases, contracts, and agreements, and collaboration with airlines, tenants, and government officials.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, and/or auditing
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified Public Accountant designation
- A Certified Member (C.M.) or Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) from AAAE
- Possess a strong ability to analyze data, develop policies, and represent the Airport Authority professionally
Requires successful completion of an FBI fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check and a TSA Security Threat Assessment.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $105,676 - $137,594 and is accompanied by a generous benefits package. Relocation assistance will be offered.
