Job Description

Clinton City, Utah, is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead our financial operations and ensure our city’s economic stability. In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and strategic planning, driving fiscal responsibility and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Implement financial policies, oversee budgeting, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate on financial strategies, provide insights, and manage revenue streams for long-term sustainability.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Present financial reports, oversee audits, and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and lead the finance team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 7-10 years of financial management experience, preferably in the public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, FLSA Exempt Position
  • Primarily office-based with some meetings and events outside regular hours.
