Financial Audit Manager
This is very responsible professional, analytical, and supervisory work in the City’s Finance Department, involving all aspects of internal and external financial reporting including the coordination and preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). Work includes managing and supervising staff assignments including the selection, placement, promotion, safety, appraisal, training, and discipline of assigned staff; coordinating internal and external audits; coordinating and preparing the ACFR including all schedules and disclosures from the GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting; implementing new GASB and other authoritative standards; and coordinating quarterly and as needed financial reports as required by City code for presentations to City administrative staff and City Council.
Salary: $82,658 - $130,432

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS. Applicants must:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting or in a business-related field.
- Have working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for local governments.
- Have progressive supervisory experience in local government finance and accounting.
- Have knowledge and experience in GASB statements and interpretations.
- Have advanced knowledge of computerized accounting applications including Oracle and financial report generation software.
- Have some experience working with accounting software including large ERP systems.
- Have single audit experience.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS. Preferred applicants:
- Have a Master’s Degree in accounting, business administration, finance or a related field.
- Have achieved designation as a CPA.
- Have experience in supervising or managing financial operations of a local government.
- Are able to apply professional governmental accounting principles, knowledge and skills to the maintenance of proper financial records, reports, and disclosures.
