Senior Accountant
This position reports to the Budget and Grants Manager and supports the objectives of the Finance Department. This position manages daily financial activities including budget and grants management, administration and reporting, new Government Accounting Standards Board pronouncement reporting, and Transit Asset Management compliance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the preparation and monitoring of the agency’s annual operating and capital budgets; Coordinate the development of the agency’s annual business plan; Serve as liaison for Project Managers and monitor capital projects; Manage all monthly county transportation sales tax and grant revenue billing and reimbursements, Support grant writing and application processes, and grant reporting efforts, Performs duties related to FTIP, FTA TAM Plan development, NTD reporting and related public transit funding and compliance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years of accounting and financial analysis experience preferred;
- Three years of grants management experience is desired.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience is desirable
This is a FLSA Exempt position and is a full-time on-site position
