Senior Information Technology Internal Auditor
A Senior Information Technology (IT) Internal Auditor reports directly to the Chief Auditor and plans and conducts complex IT audits for Valley Metro in accordance with the Valley Metro Internal Audit Plan. The Auditor ensures the quality of IT audits and participates in all phases of the audit process. The Auditor will evaluate activities, programs and departments, as well as private companies doing business with Valley Metro through contractual agreements. This work involves data analysis, conducting interviews, testing controls, and observing operations, to meet audit objectives and to assess compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. The work performed supports the recommendations formulated to improve procedures, controls, systems and/or efficiency of operations.
The Auditor provides training and procedural materials related to IT auditing for audit staff based on organizational and industrial standards. The Auditor will assist other team members with subject matter expertise in information technology. The Auditor will also develop written and verbal reports for the Audit and Finance Subcommittee and the Valley Metro Leadership regarding audit findings and recommendations to improve operational efficiency, standards, and the implementation of system changesAs a member of the Valley Metro’s Internal Audit team, demonstrates the Agency’s Core Values of Whatever It Takes, Team Player and Positive Customer Care/Service in performance of daily duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information systems with information technology auditing and review experience, or bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, finance or accounting or related field and 2 years experience performing operational or technology audits; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.
An advanced degree or certification such as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other IT audit related certifications is desirable.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Arizona Driver's License.
Possession of or must pass certification testing within 12 months of hire, in one of the following professional certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or other relevant professional certification.
