The City Council passed the Community Safety Payroll Tax on June 10, 2019, to provide long-term funding to deter crime, connect people to services, engage and help at-risk youth, support more investigations and court services, provide faster, more efficient safety responses, and add jail beds to reduce capacity based releases and hold those who commit crimes accountable. The payroll tax become effective on January 1, 2021.

The Finance Division is recruiting for a Tax Program Coordinator. The primary purpose of this position is to support the administration and implementation of the payroll tax program in a dynamic, collaborative work environment as a team member of the Finance Division.
