Message from GFOA Executive Director Chris Morrill

Dear Colleague:

Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) is thrilled to provide its 2024 Scholarships for students interested in pursuing a career in state, provincial, and local government finance. As an organization that represents over 23,000 government finance professionals in the US and Canada, we believe it is critical to provide support for students who are passionate about their future careers in public service.

Eligibility for scholarships range from full- to part-time, undergraduate to graduate, and first-time to returning students. Any student interested in state, local, and provincial government finance, budgeting, public service, governmental accounting, or public administration is strongly encouraged to apply.

Scholarship recipients will gain access to GFOA’s many resources, including conferences and professional development trainings, publications and newsletters, and an invaluable network of public finance professionals. Our goal is to create career-long connections with our scholarship recipients and facilitate connections between recipients and our members.
