Where and what are you currently studying and why did you choose this?

I chose to pursue my Master’s degree in Accounting to gain the technical skills needed to help advance my career.

What government are you working or hoping to work at in the future?

Local, county, or state.

What are your future career goals?

I would eventually like to become a finance director.

Which GFOA scholarship did you receive and how will GFOA’s scholarship help you achieve those goals?

I was awarded the Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship this year. It will help me by alleviating some of the financial burden of obtaining a Master's degree.
