Latest Stimulus Proposal Includes State and Local Aid

On Tuesday, the White House issued the latest proposal in an attempt to broker an agreement on the next coronavirus stimulus package. The Administration’s $916 billion proposal is stated to include additional support for state and local governments and would be attached to a comprehensive bill lawmakers are continuing to negotiate on to fund the federal government through the next fiscal year. This development came shortly after party leadership in Congress on both sides of the aisle rejected competing proposals put forth within the last week.

GFOA urges members to reach out to their delegation during this critical time as Congress continues to deliberate.
